Ralph J. Blake III, Attorney at Law

Ralph J. Blake

Ralph J. Blake is the founder of Blake Law Firm, and has been practicing law for nearly four decades.  Mr. Blake practices plaintiff's personal injury law, representing the victims of automobile, motorcycle, pedestrian, dog bite, and premises liability accidents.  Prior to forming Blake Law Firm, he practiced for more than three decades and was a founding partner at Solomon, Relihan & Blake, one of the most well-recognized law firms in Arizona. Mr. Blake is deeply involved in the Arizona legal community.  He has been a member of professional law associations, including the Arizona State Bar Fee Arbitration Panel, the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association (now known as Arizona Association for Justice), and the State Bar of Arizona, where he was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.  Mr. Blake served as a board member for the Maricopa County Legal Aid Society, where he helped pass Arizona's Residential Landlord Tenant Act.  He helped start a program called Student Legal Services, which is focused on providing free legal advice to college students at Phoenix College and Mesa Community College, and also helped in creating Family Legal Services, which provided legal assistance to credit union members in Arizona and was at the time one of the largest legal service programs in the United States.  Mr. Blake has served as an Arizona Superior Court Commissioner Pro Tem and Judge Pro Tem for over 20 years. 

An Arizona native, Mr. Blake was born and raised in Phoenix.  He obtained his Business Management degree at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and his Juris Doctorate degree from Arizona State University School of Law in Tempe.  Mr. Blake is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts of Arizona, including the United States Supreme Court

Alice Coronado

Alice Coronado is a legal assistant and the Office Administrator with the Blake Law Firm.  She has been working with Mr. Blake for over 32 years, and has experience in personal injury, wills and trusts, family law, probate, adoptions, and other practice areas.  She is a fourth generation native Phoenician graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in business administration management in 1984.

 

Denise Sweeney

Denise Sweeney

Denise Sweeney has been a legal assistant for Mr. Blake for approximately 20 years.  Ms. Sweeney graduated from St. Luke's School of Radiologic Technology, studying anatomy and physiology in 1975.  She then graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in education, cum laude.  Before entering the legal field, Ms. Sweeney was an x-ray technologist, substitute teacher, and working mother.  Her unique background is an invaluable resource to the practice of personal injury law.

Erika Hernandez

Erika Hernandez is a legal secretary for Blake Law Firm and has been working in the legal field since she was 16 years old.  She is a native Arizonan and a mother of two girls.  Currently, she is attending school to obtain her Associates degree in Applied Science for Paralegal Studies. 

 

 

Jordan Peagler

Jordan Peagler

Jordan Peagler joined the Blake Law firm in 2009 to assist with the firm's marketing campaign.  He is a native Phoenician who is currently attending University of San Diego.  He is a member of the Honors Program and is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. 

 

 

Maria Mesta

Maria Mesta

Maria Mesta has been working in personal injury law for over ten years, and has been with the firm since 2008.  Ms. Mesta is responsible for handling client intakes and other legal secretarial duties.  She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

 

 

Alexa Steiner

Alexa Steiner

Alexa Steiner is the firm's receptionist, and joined Blake Law Firm in 2008 through her high school's Cooperative Office Education Program.  She is a recent graduate of Washington High School and soon-to-be college student.  She has enjoyed learning about the different aspects of the legal profession.

 

Cindy Gallant

Cindy Gallant

Cindy Gallant was a legal secretary for Solomon, Relihan & Blake and is presently a legal secretary for Blake Law Firm, working on a part-time basis.  She received her Bachelors in Social Work from North Carolina State University but for the past several years has been working in the legal field.  She is a mother of two young boys. 

 

Lety Acosta

Lety Acosta has been working in the legal field for about 20 years, working first as a runner for District Court Judge Woodrow W. Bean and then as a receptionist for the Juvenile Probation Department.  Ms. Acosta then worked as a legal secretary for a Texas law firm.  She joined the Blake Law Firm in 2009 as a legal assistant.
